... I am delighted to be of assistance. The
prayer of St. Francis is an interesting prayer, because as you may
know it was probably not written by St. Francis, and may well have
been written around 150 years ago - that's not to say of course
that it isn't a beautiful prayer, which it is, but it does mean
that there is no official Latin original, and the translator has
the freedom to translate it as he would wish. I've attached my version
